Privacy
How CipherLaw handles personal information on www.cipher.law and the PQC Tracker.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics records information such as the pages you view, how you reached the site, your approximate location, and your browser and device, and sets cookies to recognize repeat visits. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are counted without analytics cookies. We have turned off Google's advertising features, and the site uses no advertising trackers. Google processes this information under its ownprivacy policy. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Apart from Google Analytics, the site's fonts and images are served from the site itself.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
If you choose a light or dark appearance, that choice is stored in your own browser and is not sent to us.
The contact form does not send anything; it opens a draft in your own email application. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details as correspondence and, if we represent you, as part of our client records.
The PQC Tracker
Readers sign in to the PQC Tracker with a Google or GitHub account through Cloudflare Access. When you sign in, we receive your email address, your name and which sign-in provider you used. While you use the tracker, we record the pages you open, when, and your approximate country and browser.
We use this information to operate and secure the tracker and to understand how it is used. Only CipherLawadministrators can see it. We do not sell it or share it with anyone other than the service providers that host the tracker and handle sign-in. Google and GitHub process your sign-in under their own privacy policies.
We keep your reader record and page-view records for as long as the tracker operates, unless you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing toinfo@cipher.law. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights given by data protection law there, including the right to object and to complain to your data protection authority. We process website analytics and tracker records on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the sites. Information is processed in the United States.
Because neither site tracks you across other websites, browser Do Not Track signals do not change how they work.
